Mowing

Cutting of the grass is one of the hardest jobs in a village. This is a man’s chore. The cutting mob is consisted of 10 or more workers. They are called by the host of property. A good cutter has his main tools made out of steel, stone and rock (usually for sharping of the blade).
Men are coming early in the morning on a property and they start their work by sharping the blades. They choose the leader of the team wich job is to cut grass low and straight. All men were singing traditional songs during their work. This is a competetive part agriculture , where all workers test their strenght. During the break wives would bring them fried food : chicken, pork or any other kind of meat, cheese, pies, yogurt.
On the end of the day , after all work is done, men would go to the host’s main house and they would enjoy rest of the evening by fire, drinking, talking or singing. When the cutting of the grass is finished, after a few days the grass would dry and then the host would organize another mob for picking up the dried wort.
