Kozara Ethno Festival: A Vibrant and Emotional Journey through the Culture and Tradition of Kozara and Potkozarje. This annual event brings together around 400 performers from several countries worldwide, showcasing authentic expressions of Kozara’s tradition, from music and dance to culinary delights and crafts.
At Kozara Ethno Festival, the past comes alive. Through numerous presentations and performances, the festival portrays life in Kozara and Potkozarje in bygone eras, offering a captivating glimpse into rural life, traditional customs, and culture.
Experience the authentic ethno sound of original songs and melodies performed by participants from the Kozarski region and guests from abroad.
Themes and activities: The essence of the festival
Every year, Kozara Ethno Festival brings new themes and activities, showcasing various rural practices that were once performed in the villages of Potkozarje. In line with the theme, different performances, exhibitions, presentations, and other cultural and tourist attractions are organized.
Kozara Ethno fusion: A blend of traditional and modern
The Kozara Ethno Festival not only preserves the original cultural heritage of the Kozara and Potkozarje regions but also provides a platform for the encounter and synthesis of different world cultures. Through the Kozara Ethno Fusion program, you can explore the blend of traditional and modern culture, creating a unique experience.
When and where?
Kozara Etno Festival 2024 will take place over three days, starting from June 28th to June 30th. On the first day of the festival, all roads lead to Piskavica, while the following two days, the program will be moved to Trg Krajine in the heart of Banja Luka.

We are happy to share with you that the entrance to the Kozara ethno festival is completely free! We want all visitors, regardless of their financial capabilities, to have the opportunity to enjoy this unique experience.
How to visit?
Whether you come from Banja Luka, from other parts of Bosnia and Herzegovina, or from abroad, we are sure that you will find your way to our festival. Piskavica and Banja Luka are well connected by main roads and are easily accessible by private transport, bus or taxi.
